Core Workshop #1:
Getting Organized; Quantifying Goals
When most people try to organize their financial lives, they are daunted by a pile of
paper…forms, statements, returns, spreadsheets, etc. In this Workshop, we will show them which are important and which are not.
The first part of the Workshop guides them in preparing their own personal
Balance Sheet and Income Statement, the same types of financial statements
any well run business must have as the foundation of its accounting.
The second part of the Workshop helps people understand how to quantify
their goals. Most people have financial goals such as “retire at age 65” or
“send my children to college.” The problem is that they have no real idea
how much these goals actually cost, let alone how much they have to save to reach them. The Money Machine Concept introduced in this Workshop clarifies how to calculate how much a goal costs and how to reach it.
In explaining The Money Machine Concept, we take them step-by-step through worksheets that will help them set and reach realistic financial goals.
